A humble bungalow in the depths of Uig, Isle of Lewis was transformed with the addition of large contemporary extension.

 

The client was keen to create a space which would enable contemporary living; open plan kitchen/dining/living. The spaces were clearly defined by taking advantage of the change of level. By lowering the living accommodation down to be level with the land it strengthens the connection between inside and outside; creating flow between the two realms.
